At Iberian International we understand that working out tax systems in another country can be a daunting experience. That's why we do all the hard work for you!
Spain operates with a NIE number or Spanish Tax Identification number which is equivalent to the UK National Insurance number. It applies to all people who are liable to pay taxes in Spain or have any dealings with the Spanish tax authorities. The NIE is therefore essential for formal registration and administrative procedures in Spain including buying a car, opening a bank account or buying a Spanish home.
We have a Moving-In department developed specifically for arranging the final steps of your purchasing your place in the sun to make it as stress-free as possible and we will arrange to obtain your NIE number.
To obtain your NIE number, Iberian International will organise a meeting with your local Spanish police station where you will be required to present the following:
- Your original passport plus one copy
- The NIE application form completed and signed
- Two photographs
- Bank receipt of the NIE fee payment.
We also have a legal department who will provide assistance with Spanish tax. The Aroca Seiquer team will provide you with legal assistance and also provide fiscal packages dealing with Spanish tax. They will act on your behalf even if you are not living in Spain.
