The beautiful golden sandy beaches of the Greek islands stretch over many kilometres of dazzling shores with small bays and coves, pebbly shores and coastal caves surrounded by steep rocks.
Their clean and transparent waters and well maintained beaches have been enjoyed by many people all over the world and for this reason most of the beaches in the Greek Islands have been awarded with the "Blue Flag".

Beaches in Santorini
Santorini has magnificent beaches that are mainly spread out along the eastern and south-eastern side of the island. With an array of white, red, black sand and black shining pebbles, each beach has special characteristics which add to their uniqueness.
Most beaches offer the choice of lounging chairs, umbrellas, and various water sports.
Perissa beach
Perissa beach is one of the most impressive beaches in the Aegean. Situated at the South-eastern part of the island you can enjoy its dark smooth sand, crystal clear water and a glaring and burning sun.
Kamari beach
Located at the eastern part of the island is Kamari beach. The two kilometre stretch of black sandy beach and crystal clear deep blue water has a good number of taverns and cafes situated along it with various sea sports available, including a scuba diving center.
Monolithos Beach
The beach of Monolithos is close to the beach of Kamari. Situated at the eastern part of the island Monolithos beach is quieter than the near by Kamari, but the landscape is just as beautiful. It is a less crowded, more tranquil beach and offers a few restaurants and cafés.
Red Beach
The red beach is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is well known for the unique colour of the sand and the hill behind it. Soaring red lava cliffs which drop right to the sandy shore and into the clear blue sea make for a majestic setting and one to enjoy. This beach is very popular due to its uniqueness.
Beaches in Paros
Paros is full of lovely beaches, popular sun seeker beaches, sporty beaches and remote bays and coves. Some busy and others deserted, stretching along 120 kilometres of coastline. Most of the larger beaches offer a wide variety of water sports and are considered some of the nicest in the Mediterranean.
Kiros beach
On the north-west of the island of Paros is Kiros beach which is situated quite close to Parikia, the islands capital. This long stretch of white sand and beautiful clear waters for swimming is a sun worshiper's haven.
Golden beach
Golden beach is located at the north part of Paros and is considered as one of the best beaches on the island. This long golden beach stretches for 700 metres and offers a variety of water sports. Every August the Professional Windsurfing World Cup is organized on this beach, gathering many windsurfing celebrities.
Pounta beach
Pounta is a popular beach on Paros Island, visited by swimmers and sunbathers at all times of the day. This sandy beach is placed in a rural area and has many bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, beach and water sport facilities.
Agia Irini beach
The beach of Agia Irini is just a few Km south from Parikia, the capital of the island of Paros. It is a small sandy beach with clean waters, lined with palm trees that create an exotic setting.
