Cyprus thrives from a lively atmosphere with various festivals throughout the year, marking grand tradition and celebrating Cypriot culture.
Festivals are held throughout the summer months, including the Larnaca summer festival in July - a celebration of world music and performing arts held at the Pattichion Amphitheatre. The Paphos Aphrodite festival in September presents world famous Opera performances at the Paphos medieval castle and of course the wine festival in Limassol.
Towns alike have their own festivals held by the locals, celebrating their traditional food and wine with live music, the best way to appreciate the Islands culture.
