This small jewel in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea was awarded the Blue Flag to 48 beaches located in 12 coastal communities and municipalities in Cyprus.
Paphos
Coral Bay is a 600m bay of white sandy shores just outside Paphos in Peyia. This rugged coastline north of Paphos has long been famed for its natural splendour and remains one of Cyprus’ unspoiled areas.
Limassol
Santa Barbara and Loures are Limassol's most popular beaches and halfway between Paphos and Limassol is the famous Aphrodite beach with its unusual rock formations said to be the birthplace of the Goddess of Love.
Larnaca
This holiday town is lined by a palm-fringed, Miami-style seafront promenade, backed by restaurants and fronted by Phinikoudes, a long, sandy beach.
Ayia Napa
The Ayia Napa coastline is considered to have the finest beaches in Cyprus. Makronsis beach is formed by a cluster of bays, the three bays stretch out in different directions, resulting in well sheltered beach areas.
The Pantahou beach stretches from the fishing harbour of Ayia Napa for over a kilometre and is a popular area for visitors. There are fantastic facilities for water sports and amenities include cafes, bars and restaurants.
