Pissouri
The Greek Village of Pissouri is situated in south-west Cyprus, located in a principal vine growing area. This south-facing village is set high on the hillsides commanding a breathtaking view of Mediterranean coastline and Troodos Mountains.
Pissouri Bay is situated just 3km from the village, awarded a Blue Flag this unique and unspoilt coastline the soft, sandy beaches are popular for snorkelling, wind-surfing and sailing. The Secret Valley Golf Course is just a half an hour’s drive from Pissouri, located in a scenic valley the area provides panoramic views for golfers.
Pissouri is famed for its Cyprus Nights; the celebrations provide an opportunity for visitors to experience Cypriote traditions. Held weekly the villagers come together for traditional Cypriot dancing and food.
One of the most famous landmarks in Cyprus is located on the outskirts of Pissouri, Aphrodite's rock. It is rumoured that this is the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite.
